The Two Spires
A downloadable game
This project was my submission to the Adventure Sites Contest II, for which you can find the winners compilation on Drivethrurpg (free pdf full of excellent short adventures)!
It's a short "adventure" written by me for OD&D “3LBB” suitable for 3-6 characters of level 3-4 with hirelings (totalling 20 levels). Could be used without too much problems with OD&D retroclones like Whitebox FMAG or Delving Deeper, which are free and probably more accessible to many gamers than plunging into the original texts (although, I recommend you try the latter, see note 1).

Note 1 : Why Original D&D and why only volume 1-3 (no thieves :P!)
If you want a good explanation of what can make the Original edition (especially if you use only the 3 original volumes AKA the 3 Little Brown Books) interesting and different from OD&D with supplements or AD&D 1e or BX/BECMI/RC, here a video that really inspired me. As someone who prefers AD&D, I think the interest of OD&D lies in what makes it special and invite you to look into that!
Note 2 : My return on the contest
I thank all the reviewers for the excellent inputs, having a review no matter what is definitely what makes that contest (that and its excellent content) stand apart from the other ones.
I took a risk making a site that wasn't only an adventure site, but also kinda a "support site" and potential FOB for PC's. I also took a risk by making it for the lesser known "3LBB" OD&D, which has many assumptions that are different from AD&D or the Basic lines (or even OD&D with more supplements and most OD&D retroclones). Add to that that I took the Appendix N and OD&D Vol3 suggestions of using Burrough's martian stuff (which isn't the most known D&D inspiration or scifi/sci-fantasy author) that could come across as very weird. But still... Still got some good comments!
"Give someone enough rope, and they will hang themselves" was definitely something I fell for with the expanded 3 pages of content, like many others. I also wanted to create something related to a further creation I'll try to publish this year, and had to go with the inspiration I had in the moment.
There was cut content. The underground section wasn't like that at first : there was one or two more rooms, no tunnels labyrinth, and the hoard was in a room with the door trapped, instead of trapping the hoard directly. I had some levels description for the towers, orders of battle, etc. But I'm not sure I'll work on expanding this for now. Maybe I'll do a slightly updated version for print, with a cover and backcover. We'll see how go the publication of my "3LBB" OD&D dungeon and maybe I'll revisit!
I'll also leave a discussion board, so that maybe people using it can ask questions or I could respond to some comments in the reviews etc. We'll see.

I think what was submitted to the judges of the contest was a pdf files like the A4 one, but with the photo version of the map in it in hi-res, which made for a kinda heavy file (14mb).
The scan/png version of the map is maybe best used for VTT, even though I see the scan erased most squares, so I don't know... It's not like it's made for VTT anyways! Maybe something to work on in the future!
